The CCC-ICLP International ADR Center (Guarantee) Ltd. was incorporated under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007 in 2018, as a not for profit limited liability Company. It’s a joint venture initiative of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC)and the Institute for the Development of Commercial Law and Practice (ICLP)
The CCC is the oldest business Chamber in the country and one of the oldest in the region, having been established in 1839 and acquired legal status upon the enactment of the Chamber of Commerce Ordinance, No. 10 of 1895. The ICLP is a non profit entity incorporated on September 2nd, 1992 (Company number GA 155) under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007, to achieve a wide range of objectives relating to the advancement of commercial law and practice. The ICLP established its Arbitration Center in March 1996 and has provided arbitration services for twenty seven (27) years. The Board of Directors of the CCC-ICLP IADR Center (Guarantee) Ltd. comprise six Directors, three each nominated by the CCC and by the ICLP.
